Re: i want this truck!

welcome crawdad...that 87 is sweet.i'm really looking forward to your progress updates on the 6 banger.you couldn't have got a better starter to tear into.that's a different approach leaving the six.i mean that in a good way but after driving hotrod stuff all the time won't it' be hard to keep it that way?

Hey SCOTI,... does your '74 have a 12 bolt rearend or a 10 bolt? I'm trying to find out the year they went to the 10 bolts. I just wonder if that would be a difference. (or is the width of the 10 and 12 bolts the same?)

Re: i want this truck!

Boatpuller,...I thought the same thing about the 6 cylinder until I saw the red '68 that N2billet put together. (Lucy?) Now I think that it would be cool. Or maybe I'm just getting old. Crawdad,... you may have to move this to the Projects section when it arrives. I'm sure you have a name for this truck in mind. Ha.

Re: i want this truck!

Crawdad,... get ready to start cutting. This was easy on my beater. I can't imagine doing this to something with nice paint. This is aired out and only a 27" tall tire. I plan to run a 30" tall tire so I cut for 32".

It has a 12-bolt. I would think the 10-bolts started popping up w/the beginning of the Lt Duty trucks in '81??

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

Thanks for the info Keith! Maybe I'll be able to cruise down with Keith (lolife99) and check out your square sometime, along with the rest of your fleet. Good luck cutting that sweet bed for the drop member....
