Re: Pacific Coast Customs Shop Truck
Here's how the truck has sat for the last 8 months or so. One day I'll find some time to work on it again.

Re: Pacific Coast Customs Shop Truck
Have been watching your build. Glad you decided to get back to it. I got stale for a couple of months and then realized the custom little people were not out in the shop finishing it for me. So poof I was back out there making headway myself. Keep up the great work you have a nice build going.

Re: Pacific Coast Customs Shop Truck
Sweet a$$ truck man! Love all the work on it and love how the upper 4 links are mounted. Pretty trick! One question though. How do you finish the metal to get it to look like that. Just add some clear coat and you have that sick looking metal look. Keep up the great work!

Re: Pacific Coast Customs Shop Truck
Tell you the truth, im not sure. They're taller then most guys 22's though as we compared side to side when we were working on laying out some newer body style trucks. They measure around 30 inches tall if I remember. I figure the tall sidewall will make for a nicer ride.

Re: Pacific Coast Customs Shop Truck
[quote=pacificustoms;3010472]The dash in the truck is going to be very minimal. There's going to be one gauge cluster out of a '50 Ford in the center of the dash aimed at the driver slightly. The dash we built curves out away from the driver and actually opens up the cabin quite a bit. Still one side to roll and weld in though. The steering wheel is out of a '54 Bel Aire and we're going to modify the stock 3 on the tree column from the Bel Aire to be a automatic column shift for the turbo 350 going in the truck.
![]() I just put a '54 Chevy wheel in my '62 c-10. Gives you a lot more room as the stock wheel has almost 5" of dish. Last edited by thekid54; 01-06-2009 at 05:01 PM. |

Re: Pacific Coast Customs Shop Truck
great build, one question. on the 04 steering rack, did you have to modify or fab anything special to get the tie-rods to hook-up to the spindles? i love the direction of this build, namely the dash, and suspension.
