Don't do it. Michealangelo didn't get the chapel done in two weeks, DaVinci didn't get anything built in two weeks and well "two weeks" is a generic time frame that fabricators use more as a bookmark than a real deadline.

Do your mental health a favor and just wait it out. Nate's stuff is worth it even if i takes a little longer than "two weeks" sometimes.

Re: Sneak Peek

Those are sweet!!

The plate on the lowers, is that one piece or are all the tabs seperate pieces and welded on? I can't tell but it looks like the ends on either side of the welds have a radius like they've been formed with a slit cut between the ends for a corner to corner fit and perfect filet weld.

Re: Sneak Peek

Damn Nate those look amazing!!!! I am not surprised though. Are you going to make a set for shockwaves? If i could have bought a set of control arm instead of modifing the ones i had i would have jumped all over that. All that stupid grinding and plasma cutting. I almost went mad. I think it would be a great idea and that way you can lower the shockwave down a little bit like i did so it has a little more clearance from the UCA plus you might be able to use a shockwave with a little more stroke. I know that not alot of people go with shockwaves but i am sure theres enough people out there for it to be worth you time. Beautiful job nate! If i ever finish my truck i know where i'm getting my control arms.

You're spot on on the method I use to assemble my pieces. The plate is all one piece, with a slit of the appropriate width to allow for a perfect fillet weld, and optimum penetration. This allows the tabs to be folded over fairly easily and also allows a perfect fit EVERY time. I could very easily press brake the tabs to allow the assembly to be quicker, but I have always liked the "fabricated" look of components. In my eyes it gives them a feel of higher quality and less of a mass-produced look.

i really like the way your doing them also nate. it gives them a one-off kinda look. adds a little character if you ask me.

Thats awesome I am very familiar with that process and also prefer it to just breaking the tabs on a press brake it also makes for a really tight radius. That to me is what really sets off the design and quality of this part sure the welds are perfect but I like to look at the details. now if I just could hit the lottery

Re: Sneak Peek

Hey Keith

nice catch! I said the same thing to nate last week when i got my dropmember with out the PB logo on it. Heres a guy who can fabricate like no other and yet he don't put is name on his parts! I wanted the logo so i could show it off.

Keith did you ever sell your S-10?

Thanks Ray

No,... I just got it out from it's "winter hibernation".
I'll drive it until about November,... and then my 4x4 comes out.
Plus,... no one wants to give anything for it,... so I'll just drive it forever.

What additional parts come with the complete set? Balljoints and bushings?

complete set includes ball joints/bushings/cross-shafts.

These are designed to be used with factory replacement bushings and cross-shafts from 73-87.

The welds do speak for themselves. Thanks for taking my order today. Also,...my lowers don't need cross shafts,... since they go in the DropmemberV3.

You can lay out that combination with a factory lower if you recess the bag mount into the arm.

After driving XXL's truck this weekend I just might need a set of those and a DM V3 for LowBuck if it does not sell anytime soon
Yes your welds do look great but I still like the PB logo you have. It is just a sign of quality at a glance.

what is different about the cross shafts and bushings on the 73-87 years than the 67-72 versions. I assume these will bolt right in place on the 68? I believe the ball joint mounts are the same for all years mine is a 68 ?
do the uppers correct some of the camber and caster? I have 2 inch drop spindles right now and am planning on a swap to coil overs and may need teh additional clearance up top.
thanks

The 73-87 uses a steel-sleeved rubber impregnated bushing. The shaft design of the 73-87 is specific for this style bushing.

These arms will bolt-on to 63-87 C10 crossmembers.

The ball joint mounting plate on the uppers, and ball joint cup on the lowers are compatible with the 1/2 ton ball joints from 63-70; 71-72; and 73-87 (I build them for 3/4 and 1 ton ball joints as well).

The uppers are factory length, and have some additional caster built in.
