Re: high school trucks

I don't have the 84 that I had in high school still, but I have one that looks exactly like it.

Re: high school trucks

I've had my '74 Blazer since 10th grade (Jan. 2000) with the exception of 8 months. I traded it for my '83. The kid tried to sell it and beat it pretty bad. I bought it back for $100. I've fixed some of the stuff he wrecked and put a new tranny in, but with college, a house and bike payment, there isn't as much time or money as I'd like for it. Hopefully I can start on the second resto in about a year and a half. Maybe with a LSx of the tune port I've wanted to put on for the last 5 years.

Re: high school trucks

Yea I had a sweet lifted '81 K5 Blazer with 400sb and 35"s that was a blast to drive. My friends all liked the tank my teachers hated it cause it was big and loud and I left a few black marks haha It got totaled out not long after school not by me I wasn't even driving it. Was parked some dumb girl that was totally wasted drove into fast enough to twist and break my rear end bend my leafsprings up and tweak on my frame. They totaled it out I got it back cheap and just the drivetrain out of it and scrapped the rest was to bad for me to fix. I really miss it gonna have to get another one lol

That is a nice ride, Sooner. Sits just right. I had a miniature square body in high school. I was an S-series fan back then.

Re: high school trucks

Here is my old 2wd blazer back in school.. My dad gave it to me as my first car/truck and it was all down hill from that.

And my dad got it new in 78, so it's been with me all my life

And here is one of it my last year of High School back in 1996.

Re: high school trucks

I'm 19 and in second year of University. Between the start of highschool and first year Uni I owned 4 Chevy/GMC trucks, as well as a Camaro:

1961 GMC 930 1 ton
1979 GMC C35 single-rear-wheel 1 ton
1983 Chevrolet C10
1983 Chevrolet Camaro Berlinetta
1985 GMC C3500 dually crew cab

Unfortunately I now don't own a single car or truck. I definately would get another if I could find one reasonably priced, and could afford insurance (around $1700-$2000/year CAN on a squarebody for me here in Ontario).

i love the wheels on the brown truck rallies always look good

oh and my white 79 GMC was my first vehicle. bought it at 16 and immediately started working on it, drove it to school junior and senior year. there where a couple guys at my school that owned square bodies, and each of ours where different. we'd always park them all in a row in the parking lot
class of 09!
