Re: 67 short fleet
i know that feeling, matt, when i bought my cab the doors were taken off, so a week later i bought the original doors...... to my suprise the passenger door went on perfect and everything worked great(window and to open the door),but it was beat in about 2 or 3 inches on the hole bootom of the door. the driver door was in perfect shape the window and door latches worked perfect but it wouldnt allign up at all every where would be perfect but one spot. so i gutted the doors and put all of the stuff in some new doors (67 custom cab doors) for 25 bucks, but there are speaker holes cut into them, they work perfect on my truck though........ good luck matt!

Re: 67 short fleet
Hinges are together and in use. I am fairly pleased with the way it all looks. I have a problem at the back corner of the door. After talking with Shawn
(35prog), I think I will be replacing the inner bottoms and putting door skins on the doors. Hopefully I can get some pointers from Shawn. I started trimming the cab corner. It looks like it is going to be a real treat to fit!

Re: 67 short fleet
Trim was there when I got it. I took alot of it off and trashed it. Then I changed my mind. It was nothing great condition wise. Color!

Re: 67 short fleet
I've been wondering what my truck would look like lowered. I don't know how low I want to go for sure. So today I removed the springs so I could jack it up to different drops to see what I like best. This is on the stock bump stops. I also borrowed a 7" rally from a neighbor to try on the front.

Re: 67 short fleet
Thanks, its kind of a cob job to just remove the springs. I need to raise it a little and try to figure what drop I want.

Re: 67 short fleet
Not much progress. Shawn and I have decided that the best thing to do is repair the doors that I have. They will get new inner bottoms and new skins.
My tabco cab corners are not finished like the original and I think I will buy a tri-plus. From the pictures I have found on other threads tri-plus are finished properly. Picture below to show the difference. Like my new couch?

Re: 67 short fleet
My wife saw the new couch today. I really have to talk it up. She was thrilled when I told her how much it cost.

Re: 67 short fleet
The back of the passenger seat and all of the middle seat are all that is good. The bottoms of both seats will need new foam or repair the foam.
