Re: Pics of squares pulling a camper?
The way I see it these trucks are ideal for this mission , many like mine are geared low ,with Gobz O' Grunt, you're gettin 10 mpg empty or loaded anyway, and with the newer trucks ,i don't believe you are supposed to use overdrive anyway. Mine is a 4 speed ,and it is dedicated to heavy hauling , like hauling heavy firewood logs off the mountain etc . it's a draft horse of a truck ...the only thing I wish I had sometimes is a 2 speed? axle or heavy duty overdrive trans . I know where there is a 5 speed gearbox from a 90's model Chev , but haven't researched if it will work ...about 1 alligator at a time is all I can wrestle right now ! thanxz for replying

Re: Pics of squares pulling a camper?
Here are some pics , I dont know what brand hitch this is due to labels being worn off , but I think I'm gonna need some type of upside down " L " brackets the truck frame is 34 " and the lip on hitch is 42 " If anyone has any tips on maybe where to find parts or other sites where someone may offer tips I would greatly appreciate it Thans Ben
