Must be a good feeling creeping down the road in this beast, any pics of the way you braced the rail under the floor when you cut the rockers ? Im about to do the same.
Here are some pics of the rails. Not the best shots. Basically a 2x4? piece of metal was ran across the frame from right before the cab where the frame bends down to right after the cab. And the 2x4? was modified to make the bend up the back of the frame. then welded into the frame.

Im not exactly sure if it was 2x4 or not. thats what the (?) was for

Love the interior. Simple and clean. I am going black as well. Mine used to be silver tweed but it was rubbed off. I cant believe Dino sold his 78 either! Whoever has it now has a bad ass C10. So you gonna take your ride to pavillions after goodguys coming up? I dont think mine will be done unfortunately.

Re: my 84 swb by wcdfab

So I have another question, is the truck actually body dropped? Or is it just the frame rails?

Just the frame rails. Technically it's not a body drop since the body didn't drop lower on the frame. But since it looks like a body drop its easier just to say that. Im not sure if that makes sense.

Re: my 84 swb by wcdfab

Yeah pretty much, except stock floor body drop came from when people were cutting the tops of their frames so the cab would drop down. And then doing traditional body drop on the front end and bed. I guess theres not really a correct term for what my truck has. thats why I use " " when I say "body dropped"....lol

Haha thanks, was asking because I think it would be cheaper in the long run to do it similar to how yours was done rather then a regular bodydrop.

Well it matters, back in the day a lot of dudes would do the traditional body drop and then they wouldn't have to raise the front crossmember. If you wanna do something like what I have, your gonna have to raise the crossmember. IMO raising the crossmember is the best way to go. You can z the frame or do what I did, but I cant speak for the drop members, Im not sure if they lift the member enough. Maybe someone with a dropmember can chime in on that
