Oh yeah, I love my 8 luggers. I actually wish my 60 was a K20 I've thought about converting it with the correct parts.

I would If I could find some clean 67/68 stuff. I got stupid when I was younger and ripped it all off. Yeah I'm kinda kickin myself for that one, this truck also had a bad ass patina too but I rattle canned over it before patina look was in style.

was it baby bluish? ya i guess we always do somthin we regret, i think you should leave the hole for trim and when you find trim buy it and install it sooner or later you will have all of it

Yep same color as the 60
Yeah I won't be welding the holes up anytime soon. I think I figured out the paint if I ever get that far. Gonna do satin Black with a Dark Metalic slate grey cap(same as Interior color I mentioned before) with the grey on the bottom to under the trim following the body line. Can you picture it? Subtle and simple. Kinda like this

The grey will be a whole lot darker though.
BTW how do you tell if you got a 67 tailgate, I remember swapping mine out years ago but can't remember what I pulled this one off of.

69 72 tail gate that indent is for 69 72 , 68 has it as a depression and 67 theres no gap it just comes up and stops ans one complete depression

I actually remember noticing those small differences when I pulled the old gate off , but didn't think anything of it. Thats be quite a while ago.
