Re: lets hear those engines! 73-87 trucks!

468 Chevy
Comp 274xe cam
2.5" duals with H-pipe dumped before axle
Spintech Pro Street mufflers.

Video doesn't really do it justice. It doesn't pick up the bass

Re: lets hear those engines! 73-87 trucks!

Here's the motor in my 84c10. first time started since it was parked in the weeds in 07. It will be used when the c10 cab goes onto my late 70's k20 frame. Know nothing about the motor paid 300 for it but it has no problem burning the 235's off with 273 gears

Re: lets hear those engines! 73-87 trucks!

I used to have a really cool walk around video of my 8.1L but after 40,000 views YouTube turned off the audio for some reason. I need to shoot a new one.

Anyhow, here are some of the exhaust playing in the snow with the slightly muffled audio of a GoPro camera. 8.1L’s, like LS engines, sound different as they are running a 1-8-7-2-6-5-4-3 firing order instead of a 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2 firing order.

Passing Jeeps as I take the deep part of the trail while they take the easier high route. The fan is loud as it is running a medium duty truck fan clutch. The engine mounts also failed this day causing ran to shroud interference you can hear once and a while.

C'mon down to Longview. Your welcome to visit and listen...I'm not computer savvy enough to figure out how to do it. Doesn't the mic reek like exhaust when you go to use it next time ? J/k
