Re: Meet Betty 72 GMC
That's AWESOME! She 's a great starting point for a rat or full resto. Are you going to a static drop or bags? Or keep it that height?

Static drop is in the works. Rat rod all the way. Too much to do for a full resto. Besides, all rats are a little different and that appeals to me!

Re: Meet Betty 72 GMC
that light you have i think is the fiber optic light that puts light to your steering column shift indicator to tell what gear you are in.

Re: Meet Betty 72 GMC
Well tomorrow is the big day. I am dropping off the GMC 72 at my wrench's shop for metal work. New rockers, cab corners and various fills of holes. I bought $1000 worth of parts this week and will be glad to see some of it on the truck. Meanwhile, I will be in Italy for 16 days bicycling and eating good food. See ya round!

Re: Meet Betty 72 GMC
Your truck looks good even if you think it doesnt. I know how ya feel about all the lil dents and stuff. My truck is in same position where I just want to knock out all the dents, rot areas and paint it but those will probably take years till I get to it. Right now for my truck I am focusing on getting it roadworthy and running strong. Keep up the great work. Its coming along GREAT.

Re: Meet Betty 72 GMC
My mechanic has had my truck for three weeks now and one section of rust has been replaced. I swapped out the dash panel, again and got turn signal lights but no dash lights.
