^& and ^* slants with the two bar grills are my favorites. I own a 67 and a 71. one long bed and one short bed.

Re: What makes you like your year more than the other years?
I have a 72 but swapped out to a 68 clip. I like the 69-72 hoods, but I like the 67-68 grill more. Plus I like the side markers, so I went with 68.

Re: What makes you like your year more than the other years?
There are other reasons I LOVE my truck. My son was conceived and almost born in that truck. I was able to throw almost everything I own in the back when it was time to go. Many young girls liked my truck. It pulled many a lesser truck, sand rails, hauled hay, moved TONS of dirt, transformers, bound paper, and so on.... The main reason I like my '70 is the grill, hood, bumper, Longhorn bed.... It was my uncle's truck before me and has been a part of me for 30+ years.

Re: What makes you like your year more than the other years?
I used to prefer the '71 and '72 trucks, primarily because of the disc brakes and I did like the egg crate grill. After awhile, I began to develop an interest in the '67 and '68 trucks. I like the early grill best of all years and I really like the slant hoods. Since you can update any of the trucks to disc brakes, different power trains, and cosmetics, it really comes down to the sheet metal and I like the '68s best.
This is one I just sold!!

Re: What makes you like your year more than the other years?
I like this one. It is the one my oldest son and I just finished building. The only part of it that is '67 is the small window cab, left front fender and grill from a C-20 lwb stepper. The right front fender is a '68 with marker light filled in donated by Specialtyretail. The frame is a '69. The suspension and running gear is from a '71 as is the SM-465. The engine is a '74 454 from a C-20. The gas tank is from a '70 as are the doors. The stepside bed is from a '68. The tailgate is from a '62. The drivers side window regulator is from a '72. The front bumper is from a '71.
As you can see I like many years of these old trucks, but the favorite look I like is a '67 swb stepper with the small window.

Re: What makes you like your year more than the other years?
I like my 72 the best for one reason because it was in the best shape for the price. out of the like 15 other ones I went and looked at 67-72. lol I like them all iam just glad that I finally got one. I have wanted one since my 8th grade year in school then my first year in college I bought a 69 but it was completely rusted out and I got married and bought a house so I sold it. now that iam almost 25 I just bought my 72 c20 like 2 months ago and its in good enough shape to start to restore. to go along with my 1974 Plymouth roadrunner that is done with the restore it was a gift from my uncle for graduating college.

I love my 67 because of the small window cab, no side markers, and the best looking front clip ever put on a Chevrolet truck. The best truck is a loaded 71/72 with a 68 clip (or all shaved markers.)

Re: What makes you like your year more than the other years?
I like my 1972 for the door panels, the rearview location, I'm currently stationed on CVN72, it's the last year of the best looking body style of all time, and my favorite part is probably the grille. I think it's pretty iconic looking. My dad had a 1969 K20 with a 71/72 grille on it for the first few years of my life before he bought the 77 Silverado that I'm currently driving. But like it's been said 100 times in this thread already I love all 67-72 Chevy trucks. They're the best.

Re: What makes you like your year more than the other years?
I have two '68s, so I guess I'll say 68. But truth be told, I'd rather my green pick up was a '67. Long live the slant-noses

Re: What makes you like your year more than the other years?
71-72 Chevy frontend is my favorite, 67-72 Chevys and GMCs are all nice. I bought my 72 GMC K-20 for a good price, zero rust, all original, not mickey-moused and drove it home.

Re: What makes you like your year more than the other years?
I'll take the '72. Since I pull a heavy rv 5th wheel, I need the big, heavy mirrors. It's the one tiny, extra screw in the door that does it for me. It sure makes it easier to see in the mirrors at highway speeds. '67 -'72 are ALL wonderful. Roy

Re: What makes you like your year more than the other years?
My favorite is the elusive 67 K20 panel. Tough no nonsense truck. When I first started looking for one 30 years ago it was discouraging that no one had ever heard of or seen one. Then I did some research and found out they built 8. Does anyone even have a picture of one?
But I really like the 71-72 trucks and the Cheyenne Super wood interiors with buckets too. So to that end it would have to be a C30 Cheyenne Super 9' stepside either year. A Napco or Marmon&Herrington 4x4 conversion on it too since it is already a unicorn. Maybe I should just build one. :-)

67 GMC! Clean sides, no markers, and the only year with GMC in the grille. Sets it apart from the rest of the years.

Re: What makes you like your year more than the other years?
I like my 67s because there are no side markers or lights, but yet the side molding makes it so it's not totally plain looking. I also like the slanted hood & the Chevrolet letters on the front of the hood, although I can say I like some of the newer grills a bit better. I also like the 54s & 64-66s styles, not sure why, they just catch my eye. I also like the dual lights on the GMCs.
