So do all conversion trucks have drop shackles from the factory? I bought one and thought it looked somewhat lower than other stock trucks.

By any chance do you know or can guesstimate what size tires were used on those Coys? I want 20's but don't want a thin sidewall.

Conversion trucks are not "factory," so no trucks ever came from the factory with drop shackles. Conversions were done by aftermarket companies, so it was up to each company what they were going to do to each truck. There were hundreds of conversion companies all across the country back in the day, each doing it their way. While most of the conversion trucks did have drop shackles, I saw plenty running around without them as well.

So, the short answer is no, not all conversion trucks came with drop shackles.

Can't blame you, as I like a beefier sidewall as well. I have no idea what size those were on the Coys, but I'll guess maybe 45 or 50 series. My Tahoe currently has 55's, which look to have a taller sidewall than those.
