Believe it or not I don't have any trouble getting in it and I'm only 5-7 and an old fart. I use a milk crate when I'm working on it and getting in and out a lot though...

Leon, do you have any issues putting on the retaining nuts for the emblems with the fenders on. I can't hardly get my arms in for the rear ones with the fenders on.

Man the paint on that truck shines so nice!

I used barrel nuts/clips on the '72 GMC and the Red & White '71 to install the rear emblems.

Wow Leon, that is turning out great. I know what ya mean about the milk crates. I've got them staggered all around mine. Lol. Wish I would have known about those barrel nuts a few months ago. Good tip.

I have been dragging my feet on this thing but I finally got some finish on the bed wood and got it in place a while back. I still have to put the bolts in it but I guess it's still progress. It is Cedar wood cut from old power poles. It def. has a lot of character..

I have been distracted with a couple of other projects that I wanted to get done so it is taking longer than it should. Here is one of the reasons for the delays....

That wood in there looks awesome, nothing like recycling good wood, should hold up well in the weather, good choice. I like the character of the wood

I've always liked the painted bed strips too. I know they don't hold up as good as the stainless ones but they shouldn't be that hard to touch up if needed.
