Yeah it's round and it's got about a 4 inch inside diameter. You'll be able to find one if you look at import stuff. Mine is an AEM filter for thier cold air intakes.

Who's harness did you use? Looks like you had a reprogram as well(MAF was removed). Have you done anything to your vette? I had a 99 MN6, Z51, active handling coupe - MTI heads and cam(well worth the money, installed myself), also Corsa Exhaust(loud, not much HP) dyno'd at 371 RWHP, 390 RWTQ, best 1/4 - 11.88 @ 121 MPH, then I got Bimmer fever - What was I thinking?

SweetandLong68, I will try and get some out tonight they are on my home computer, though I might get harassed for showing a non 67-72 truck, oh well that's the brakes! As far as the M5 truely awesome to behold, but not so easy to get ahold of. The waiting list was 2 years long when I got mine, with the rebate I got on the 540i the difference in price was about $20K more to step up to the M5 as well. I have since driven several M5's and have to say it is a step up, but not a $20K step up. Have you driven an M5?

Yeah you are right on! I wouldnt say 20k step...Maybe 10k?!? eheheh
Yeah I got to drive a couple of them when I used to valet park, but never got to really drive one until a friend of mine bought one. He has more money then sense so he was able to locate one somewhere. His is silver if I remember correctly. Very sweet ride! Very quick too. Gotta love being able to run with a vette in a 4-door lata CHRIS

Yeah it is crazy how smooth and sedate the car is, actually doesn't seem as fast as the vette because it is not as raw, but it is. My 540i is Topaz blue, the only thing I don't like about the paint is I think BMW should have used a larger metalflake.

It is a 2001, which was the first year for the lighted Halos around the lights and the individual turn signals on the side all markers on the car are clear. Also has HID low beams. I got lucky 2001 was the first year for most of that stuff(minus the HID)

Mark540,
I actually don't have a Corvette, just the engine in my truck from a corvette. I changed my signature because I just noticed how else it could be read. As for the harness... I hacked up the stock corvette harness and made my own. I am using a AEM programmable ECU so I sold my corvette computer. I then wired everything into this computer. You can check the AEM stuff out at www.AEMPower.com and click on the racecar then click on the "What's hot" box. You can then check out the EMS(Engine Management System). I'm also using their wideband O2 controller and sensors. You won't find a corvette application because I have a "race box" and it was modified just for me. After that you can look at videos of the racecar that I work on!!!

Mark540, Almost forgot your question about the MAF. The new computer lets me get rid of it. I am using what is called Speed/Density tuning. It uses rpm and the MAP sensor for the fuel and ignition tables.

Yeah, I knew some guys where going to SD with there swaps but when using the stock computer it has to be reprogrammed, I may just use the MAF since I have my stock one from the Corvette when I went to a larger one. Not using it makes plumbing the intake easier though!!

It may be hard to get the Ecu to work because I'm using a "prototype". In the next few months they are actually going to release and sell their bonified race computer. That one will be good to use. Ball park would be around $1300-$1400.
