Re: Would you make this trade - poll
Yep, rust & bondo = game changer. Disappointing and not totally expected on an Arizona car.

Re: Would you make this trade - poll
Personally, I wouldn't trade.... rust or no rust. SWB trucks in this era are hard to come by. I also believe the 66-67 Chevelle's seem to bring higher dollars than 64-65's. (Just my observations)

Re: Would you make this trade - poll
That 70 in the picture is a long bed right? If so, and if it was me, then I'd give the Malibu some real thought. Be sure to check for rust on that Malibu.
EDIT: Just read through the thread. Apparently it has rust in the same places I mentioned some posts above, and mine was a 72...............That was the primary reason I got rid of it too. Shame, it was otherwise a very clean car. Great highway vehicle.

Re: Would you make this trade - poll
How bout just selling the long bed, put some cash together, and go buy the chevelle cash in hand. Might come out better AND you get to keep the shorty.

Re: Would you make this trade - poll
Just my 2 cents, but when I seen the car I said that's my friends old car, it came from florida , the guy flew into panama city bought the car and drove it back to Arizona, the only thing that happened to it was the altenator went out, other than that its a road warrior, the rust might be a problem, but I would keep my truck, just to confirm this ask the guy if he bought it in florida, lmk I'm interested

Re: Would you make this trade - poll
64-65 Chevelles are not sought after and are the ugly sister of the Chevelles. I mean that in the way that everyone wants to date their sisters, 66-67, 68-69 and 70. Personally, short bed trucks with buddys and fm are rare and getting up rpice wise. Your trading a rock star for a top 1000 hit. in other words....the truck price is rising and the Chevelle price is not, 65 Chevelles rarely get high bucks

It may not look bad now, but bubbles are only showing about 1/10 of what's rusted underneath. I'd keep looking for a buyer for that longbed... life's too short to own two of the "same" vehicle. Free up that cash so if a blazer pops up you can go for it. Whenever a 69-72 blazer pops up around here (NOT OFTEN!) it's gone in days.
