Will do Jim. I cheated ...took the tire and the truck to dealership to fix. Glass guy is here replacing windshield. Prioritizing my time to be able to do some burb work. Will get back on it!

Sid, looking forward to seeing how your headers fit. I will throw these Camaro manifolds on to see how they look.

Iceburgh, Did you have to trim the frame just a bit? Also, did you get your electronics on your LS worked out?

2010 Camaro manifold on the left side needs this much angle to almost clear the frame.

And with the angle, the manifold hits the block. So, I'm going to go with some headers and use these manifolds on a different project.

Thanks Kees, me too. The broke vortex continues. The windshield for the dd was made wrong so he is coming back Monday with another one. Grasshopper and Gator each had one flat tire. Battery in 56 was marginal starting. Tested good recharge so we will see. Just drove it 30 miles though....

I'm curious if my Camaro manifolds will work with the PB set up. I remember one of the changes they made that delayed things was a change to allow a more flexibility on header selection. Fingers crossed that I can use the stock manifolds. I wont know for quite a bit.

Will be following along Marc to see how it works out.

Saturday morning planned the day in the shop, then wife reminded me we had a funeral to go to. Leaving at 9. OK, lunch in town, back home at 1:30. Sit down in recliner for just a minute before hitting the shop. Mistake...two hours later I headed for the shop. Ugh.

Not much done again...removed a broken bolt from the radiator support. Need to mount it up to see if I will have room for the accessory drive. Don't want to move the engine back unless necessary. Can't really tell yet. This is the truck water pump. I will put the inners on, add the accessories, mock up or buy the radiator assembly and then decide.

Well that worked pretty slick. Any progress is good progress. My Sundays are usually really good days for me to spend in the garage. Only problem was I was very FESTIVE at a holiday party last night and just felt like holding down the couch today......

Thanks Marc. The same trick will work on exhaust bolts broken off in the aluminum head as long as you can get welding wire to it. Hey, best part about festive flu is you know it gets better as the day goes by.

Iceburgh, it would be great if you could start a build thread on the 56 you are working on.

Another way to get a bolt out is to place a bigger nut on the head and weld up the center. Lookin good!!

And C6 manifolds won't work. They are pretty tight on the left side and hit the frame on the right side.

Yep, a friend had these laying around. So either the headers Iceburgh used or the Hooker ones Sid used will fit ....I hope.

Don't know how the C6 compare to the Camaro manifolds but the flange is higher and closer to the block with the Hookers. Got anymore pics of the flange area on both sides?

Hey Doug here is the set of headers I used on John's Dodge truck.
They are from Speedway #9300114 $200.00 comes with O2 bung, gaskets and the flanges witch you can turn in several positions.

(By using Hugger Headers You will have to move motor mounts forward!)

Sid, here is one more pic on the left side. The right side contacts the frame (it won't even bolt on) so I need to compare the manifolds as the right side one must extend outward some....or my engine isn't centered and level.

Mark, Thanks for the lead on the headers you used on John's Dodge. I'll look them over to see if they will work. Like you mentioned, the engine mounts would probably need to be moved forward.

I found these on Ebay and since Im a huge fan of stainless and have bought ebay headers bf, they are worth every chineese cent. I was skeptical on trying them cause I have nothing moched up yet, then I stumbled upon a guys build on here, but he hasn't responded back to my question (I don't think he gets on here much) or maybe I missed it and I can't recall his build thread. But... I did poach a pic from his thread when I saw it. Cause I recognized the headers. For me I think this is the route I'll try and take, so I'd need to order them, then do engine mounts and try and find a happy medium.

I think your engine is a little lower between the frame rails than mine but here's a few of mine with the Hookers on. Hard to see through pictures but the right side down pipe is about an inch from the frame rail. You can see the flange is a two bolt and is higher than the Camaro manifolds.Gives you something to think about.
