Re: Locomotive Lugnut
That color is definitely 'period' like we discussed.

Re: Locomotive Lugnut
I really don't appreciate you putting that wire harness and throttle pedal on the hood of my favorite Riviera. You're going to scratch it!

Thanks for all the compliments guys. I took the hood to work today and primed it and painted the underside of it, then when I got home tonight I dropped the motor and trans. in the frame. So I seem to be making good progress .......at the moment atleast.

Re: Locomotive Lugnut
Pretty much what I thought. They sent me a picture of a finished truck and it looked like a foot or so left. I need to tow occasionally so I'll have a boat anchor of a Dana 60 in the back. I wish they made more than the extreme kit. That's all they are building for the time being.

Re: Locomotive Lugnut
Man you are really making some good progress.
Have you mounted the DBW pedal yet? Did you have to modify the pedal lever length? Got any pictures? |

I'm going to have to tub anyway so I could just box that area across the whole bed. I'd still lose bed, but have some normal height box in the rest of of it. There is a picture in the thread on the Porterbuilt site that shows the bed and the wheel is flush with the bed side cut out. I really would like the details of the axle from wheel mounting surface to wheel mounting surface and the spec on the wheels. Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: Locomotive Lugnut
Ironically the only part that is left to add is the box. I was going with a MAR-K box and was going to leave the stake pockets out for a cleaner look. I suppose I could leave the stake pockets and build some sides to use if I need to actually carry anything.

Re: Locomotive Lugnut
What kinda primer do you use that doesn't need to be reprimed over again if you go out of the repaint window?
