Nice work! Always admired those that had the tenacity to go the 100% totally stock restoration path.

I got back on the K10. I got the fenders sanded today. No rust at all under the battery.

Re: Arkansas K10
We got the kids pool finished, the wife's garden is producing, the 55 is in paint jail, so I finally got back on the K10 this week. I painted two different air cleaners, multiple times and still don't have one I am satisfied with. I'll be out next week, so it will probably still look like this 10 days from now.

Nice work. I have a lot of admiration for guys like you, Pete, and Iron Canine that kill these kill it on these kinds of builds. Maybe one day at a different stage of life I’ll have the time to pull one off like this.

LOL, my dad bought a new 68 C10 with A.I.R., and traded it for a new 69 because he could get the 69 without A.I.R.. Of course I am taking some liberties from the SPID, such as tilt column, AM/FM and extreme bend hooks. I cheated with the dual exhaust, 3 point harness and I may add cruise control just because I have one.

Wish you luck. Hope it goes well. Getting completes done where I am is very difficult. No one wants to do them.

Re: Arkansas K10
Well that fell through, sort of. My 55 210 has been in paint jail for a couple of months. My friend wants to do it instead. I will take what I can get.
The shop the 55 is at, indicated they would rather do the truck anyway. FWIW, I am creating a backup plan for painting the truck. I have a shop I have been using for storage. It is set up for air and has water. I just need to install a compressor and I will paint the truck myself. Oh yeah, I need a refrigerator for beer.

Re: Arkansas K10
Let's say the plan for paint is fluid.
The owner of the shop that has been doing my paint for the last several years is encouraging me to use their shop and paint the truck. My 55 goes out there tomorrow. My friend that came in from NC to paint the 55 is starting on it tomorrow in that shop.

Re: Arkansas K10
The sheet metal on this truck is pretty doggone nice.
Notice the mismatch in the rocker.
