well got my rubber flooring installed. put a behind the seat jackbox and organizer from an 89 chevy in the truck. made a little shelf for under the front of the seat to throw junk. just have to cover it with some fleece to make it look good. made my own battery door but i might change it a little. painted the window trim and installed it so it won't get scrached.

well i haven't posted in a while but i haven't had too much time to work on my truck as i have been working on my new daily driver. i just started back on my 54. i'll post pic's soon. the cab is painted workin on the doors right now. then hopefully i'll get the fenders and hood cleaned,primed,&painted in a few weeks.

Wiring is the fun part. Just remember to test everything before you hook up your battery to make sure that every wire is where it is suppose to be. That way you can save yourself some headaches, and keep the smoke in the wire casing.

thanks for the tip. i have an idiot proof system. i listed every wire on a tablet sheet. i have three colums market first check, hook up & final check. worked for the s10 wiring and didn't have a fire and that was just guessing at what wire did what.

Those are great bikes, i myself have a 1986 honda rebel 250, it has almost 40,000 miles on it, and it takes a beating sometimes, but still looks brand new.

I like the flat black better than the blue. Glad to see you back at it. don't be afraid of that engine, get er running good and drive that beast. You got a fuel pressure gauge on there? what carb you running? have you tore into it, make sure everything is chipper? You got your timing good?

yea i like the flat black better. no fuel pressure gauge. stock rodchester 2 barrel. i regasketed it. it came off a running engine so i just put new gaskets thats all. timing was way off but we got that fixed. the fuel problem was the eletric fuel pump and lines had ait in them. reason was we didn't have enough gas in the tank. dummy me for not checking that.

well i have been cracking on the truck when temps will allow. my father in law and i worked on her yesterday. temp high was 17 deg we had a small gas heater that goes on the top of a 20lb bottle. it took the chill out so we worked all day and got a lot of stuff wraped up. radio is moved to the under dash fillers i made. stock speaker grill has new speakers in it. freebies thanks to a friend with a junkyard. bed is almost done with the exception of the floor and wood for the sides. interior is almost wrapped up. needs a headliner and few odds and ends. as far as all the new weather seals the only ones left are the outside door seals but was too cold to glue them on. need to get a new starter the old one crapped the bed. my uncle says he has one for me just need to go pick it up. made my rad over flow bottle from a monster reaseable alum can. looks awsome. truck is all black now. need to paint the grill and front bumper silver or white to break up the black. maybe the wheels white too. sorry no pics it was so cold the digital camera didn't want to work. i will get pics up soon. oh almost forgot got the exhaust finished just need to get a piece of straight pipe and a few clamps. thats all for now. i hope to have it done for the first week of feb. we wil see how that works out.

well i am selling the truck. need to pay bills and some other things. i'm happy i finished it. i want to get my 89 daily driver painted and some other stuff done to it so when the 54 sells i will be able to. also here are a few shots of the interior.

put my truck on e bay. why do some people think that you will give away a running truck with all the hard work done. pisses me off. i had one guy that had the nerve to tell me he will take it off my hands for $2000.00. i told him that i'll do him a favor and hang up politely like i didn't hear that. i think that asking $7000.00 for my truck is a fair price. espically since that it only needs a headliner and a front end allignment. what do you guys think. was i asking too much.

well i'm going away for work for 6 to 8 weeks so i will have to finish this when i get back. next will be to find a decent box for the truck. well one that i can afford.

well home finally. the last two weeks have been hell. my mother in law is in the hospital. my daughter was life flighted to the hospital of sat. my daily driver the trans went in it while towing my camper home from work. then I had to have the camper towed home as the truck was drivable with out the camper. I was on the way to the hospital the camper was on it's way to my uncles and it caught fire and is totaled. insurance said it was not covered under my policy. not a happy camper. ha ha. but my daughter is home and doing great. my mother in law should be getting out of the hospital soon she is doing better too. well at least things are getting better.

54 jimmy, when it rains it pours. Glad your daughter and mother in law are doing better. Some times you got to wonder why you are handed all that stuff at one time. Hang in there it will get better. It was like that for me about 1 1/2 ago. If it could go wrong it did.

I know. thank you. I just laugh about the truck and camper cause they are not worth crying or getting mad about. the most important thing is home and back to normal.
