Re: Project ''Tailor Made'' LOWESTSIXTY7
As of right now the truck is sitting. I am in the process of redoing the front clip of the truck. New crossmember, frame rails, rack and pinion, and tubular uppers and lowers. I have attached some pics. Hope to have it back on the road in the next month or so. I will try to keep up on the updates. later

Re: Project ''Tailor Made'' LOWESTSIXTY7
The reason for redoing the front clip is because when i did it 5 years ago i did a few things that didnt work out to well. First i narrowed the crossmember 2 inches, which made the frame rails too narrow for the motor so i had to cut the frame up some for the power steering pump. Next i narrowed the control arms. That didnt really cause much of a problem but caused some minor problems. I also couldnt put a ''normal'' rack and pinion in there. The way we had to set up the steering would have frightened most people. It was definetly not ideal for a long term daily driver like i want. So i decided screw it and scrap the front end and make a new Mustang II style crossmember with a mustang II rack and pinion. Upper control arms are going to be adjustable. Hopefully in the next month i will be driving it to the local cruise nights around here. later guys.
