Re: Project : JACK LALANNE
I really like your truck. But then I am partial to GMCs. I would highly recommend doing the headlight relay upgrade. It really makes a difference on high beams with four of them burning!

Re: Project : JACK LALANNE
Ok Guys, I haven't been on for a while...just a quick update.
The truck has been garaged all winter so far. I was able to get it out with the 40 degree temps on thursday...even waxed it. ...it was nice having it out Although the weather has stopped me from my truck i've had a few small projects going on. Rc World Time haha I picked up a brand new Traxxas Stampede, Velenion Brushless system, c10 body, and full line of rpm upgrade parts... from my work. Got it all together, Geared it up a little...and It's now a 55mph truck! Also got the dodge mega cab body painted and put onto my emaxx. Went ahead and did a light kit on that one Here are a couple picks The Stampede now has a wheely bar on it, anyone putting a brushless in one, You wont be able to run it without one! If any of my utah pals need anything hobby related I run a family owned hobby store in Springville and my parents run one in West Jordan. |

Re: Project : JACK LALANNE
For the headlight upgrade read this http://www.madelectrical.com/electri...adlights.shtml
Since you have a GMC, you will have 2 sets of green (high beam) wires coming out of the fire wall, then those 2 split into 4 so, cut BEFORE the 4 wire split. When you are done, the dimmer switch will only see less than .5 amps. That is a big drop from 20 or so. The headlights will pull power directly from the battery/alt. Your 30 year old wires will thank you. Make sure you replace the fuse with a breaker, so if there is an overload problem, the breaker will reset and you can use the low beams to get home.

Re: Project : JACK LALANNE
Hey guys, life is so hectic right now thats why I havent been on to much. I got a job selling health life and medicare health insurance. Schooling and work have been consuming most of my time. On top of trying to get a few things done with the truck, I'm also in the middle of a move. So hang in there with me!!!!
I'm not posting a wanted or for sale here because I know i have to be a subscribing/premium member. However to complete my truck i am having a few problems, so if anyone here can help a young man try to finish his pride and joy truck I would appreciate it, just pm me. The reason your not seeing photo's painted is I dont want to take them until the last few things I need help with are done! Problem 1: I took off my stock mirrors as an ex broke them a year back. I have the sport mirrors oem which use the 3 screw mount, i purchased a set thinking i'd just fill the holes and use new mirrors. However the door is not hollow after removing the door panel so I wasnt able to fill them. So i painted the truck and now need oem mirrors to bolt on. So if you could help me anyone I would appreciate it. I have found some on ebay but cant get verification of bolt pattern... and i dont have 200 just for mirrors Problem 2, I'm looking for a chrome newer style bumper, I have the old platform, it will require painting and prepping which i do not have time to do, if anyone has one laying around in the area let me know? Not only are these stopping me from posting finished photo's, they are causing me not to be able to pass safety and get my plates renewed. if anyone can help me, I have a hood that needs a little nose work (72) and a cowl, and a few misc items that you guys are welcome to On a positive note, I have a 14 day temp tag, and drove her a good distance for the first time in 1 1/2 years and it was like heaven!! Feel free to comment on the body work, and yes, the h2 in the background is my new toy It's fun but it takes from my truck fund majorly Only posted one side of the rocker work, as it looks identical on the passenger side, they went in pretty good |

Have you tried interstate for the bumper? They sell some aftermarket ones that should work.

Look up certifit.com they have a few bumpers that should work for your truck . Certifit and Interstate are the same company by the way.
