Thanks! I'm definetly interested. I really didn't want to hack the frame to use the stock manifolds that came with the motor. I may have to check out the tbss forum. |

Trailblazer SS, I am reluctant to admit how long it took me to figure it out on my own

Re: The Fuse is Lit...
Not too much to report, I do have the motor and tranny in, and I will get some pics up.
But more importantly, to everyone I want to wish you a very MERRY CHRISTMAS!! I hope you and your family have a wonderful holiday and may we all remember the small child born so long ago in a humble manger. God made into flesh, sent to die that we all might live!! God Bless and from my house to yours... MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Re: The Fuse is Lit...
Here is a pic of the motor and tranny set.
Yes, that is a piece of nylon cord holding the tranny. I wanted to see how the tranny looked moved over a little and couldn't find not one of my straps. I guess this means I am impatient and cheap. Here is what I get for bragging about how well the TBSS manifolds fit... The "ears" on the 4l80e stick out farther that on other trannys. Looks like I will be able to cut the ears off and get everything to fit, I will keep everyone informed on how it works.

Good eye! I appreciate the heads up, just in case though. Actually, I stuck it in wrong when I first put it in and I have to pull the rear suspension back off to do some welding so I am gonna switch it back then.

Re: The Fuse is Lit...
I changed the large mid 80's blazer tank to an '99 jeep wrangler tank. I was able to put back all the original bracing and it will allow me to use a standard trac bar in the stock location. It is only a 15 gal tank but I think the headaches it solves is worth the trade off.
