Re: 60-66 sticker

I was just thinking about this thread yesterday while I was putting the 67-72 sticker on my truck. While I will proudly fly that one, it would be cool to have one geared for our 60-66 trucks. What will it take to get this rolling? Has anyone done anything with it?

I like the earlier entries with this drawing, but the Chevy only writing looks a bit feminine. Here's another simple version.

all the extra numbers and writing make my head hurt and cause the anger sharks to start swimming....

IMO ditch the 60-66 forums and just leave the URL on there. But take it for what it's worth, stickers on my vehicles just aren't my thing. The only one I plan on putting on my truck is a soldiers cross in the back window

Not mine either. It would be better as a t-shirt design.

I submitted a detailed suggestion on the topic to management back in December. It doesn’t appear there is any current interest in the topic. Perhaps if there is more member interest it will inspire another review.

Re: 60-66 sticker

Nick (NCD1966) asked me about this just the other day. How many would be interested in the Route 60-66 design? Maybe I can some a prices from the sign shops. What size to get, 2" x 2"? Bigger? Let me know and I'll try to check on it. Thanks, Jeff

Re: 60-66 sticker

I vote for shirts. I also don't really do stickers on my vehicles. Too much of a pain to remove when the desert sun destroys it.

Re: 60-66 sticker

I like some of the ones with our trucks outlined better. Just my opinion.

I think several designs should be made into a poll for members to vote on.

Actually there is a lot of interest from this forum as well as the other years. There have been several conversations by the Staff regarding this topic too. The idea has been presented to a professional artist to create a fresh logo for the site, and create generation specific logos as well.

Unfortunately the artist had to have surgery, and the Staff has been focused on a LOT of site updates for the past few months so this project was put on hold.

Ironically this was a topic that Liz and I discussed just this week. We do want to move forward, but I don't have a time frame on it yet. Our hopes are to create something that will please the majority, and can be used as stickers, shirts, hats, etc.I will let you know as soon as I have more info.

Keep in mind, any designs that include the sites name must be approved by the site owner first.

I can't remember what the guys name is but I talked to him on the phone before. He turns a photo into these designs. I have two of his 50 Merc shirts. Can't figure out why his shirt gallery doesn't work. He had a pretty good collection going.

Yes he did, and had a death in the family as well. We are moving forward with this, and like the ideas you guys presented. Just keep in mind, due to legalities, any tshirt sales, stickers etc would have to be site sanctioned.

I have contacted our art guy (who is a 60-66 owner) today, to see when he will be able to discuss this.
