Hey thanks.....

I lucked out with that body....it is in really good shape....and for 15 or 20 yr old paint it's pretty good. We looked at it and there is some type of reaction in the primer under the paint and it would be a easy repaint. But I want to drive it like it is, get a year of not carring where i park and finger prints. I really like the colour of it as well....

Re: 1958 LS2 with C4 front and rear

Well progress has been slow....it's been crazy buzy...My 65 street truck has offically recieved paint on the inside of the cab....and the outside should be getting painted as we speak. Too much going on...too many builds....i think i lost a portion of my mind and am currently trying to get it back. The 58 got new exhaustthe otherday and it looks pretty bad a$$....I ran 3" and dumped it out just infront of the rear tires. We placed a balance tube in it as well....I can't wait to hear it run. Remounted the tank and pump for the air set up, had to make changes to fit the 3 " gear. Ran more wire and am getting closer to getting things buttoned up. Big job with lots of little things to finish

Re: 1958 LS2 with C4 front and rear

Well small set back today....the L7 came out of a trailblazer.....I wanted to use the factory harness and just have it cleaned up and reprogramed. Well the trailblazer had a ton of options and the harness section that has the drive by wire is massive. So they just can't get the section of harness out....so....We decided we are going to take the harness out of a LS van that had the transmisson we used . We also came up with a way to use the vette intake instead of the trailblazer intake by building a adapter plate and putting the drive by wire on it. So I spent the morning pulling off the engine harness that we put on a week ago and it wasn't really all that fun. As far as we can tell if we use the entire wire setup from the van and switch over to drive by wire it will all work out and we will just reprogram the computer when it's all set up. If this isn't going to work it's going to be time to buck up and go stand alone harness....which i am already thinking might be the way to go . But I did get the air bags lines ran properly and ran all the wires for the values as well as wire most of the rear o the truck. I am so tired of running wires and loom and i have wire projects waiting in the shop....

Re: 1958 LS2 with C4 front and rear

Great looking project. I think almost everyone would love to see the beginning of a major project with iron in that condition. Do you still have the trailblazer oil pan/pickup tube? If you do, would you be interested in selling It? If so send me a PM

Very nice. Just discovered your thread and had to subscribe. Will be watching your wiring work especially close since it is not too far off for me.
