Re: Locomotive Lugnut
I finally got the F-body oil pan installed along with the electronic gas pedal, and the stand alone harness w/fuse block. While I was working in the firewall area I did a ton of clean up to it and spent a couple of weeks deciding on a color scheme so I could paint the firewall while I had the cab off. So I ended up picking this green with some vanilla accents.
The random painted part pic is a paint color test panel I made.

That color is definitely 'period' like we discussed.

Re: Locomotive Lugnut
I really don't appreciate you putting that wire harness and throttle pedal on the hood of my favorite Riviera. You're going to scratch it!

Thanks for all the compliments guys. I took the hood to work today and primed it and painted the underside of it, then when I got home tonight I dropped the motor and trans. in the frame. So I seem to be making good progress .......at the moment atleast.

Re: Locomotive Lugnut
Pretty much what I thought. They sent me a picture of a finished truck and it looked like a foot or so left. I need to tow occasionally so I'll have a boat anchor of a Dana 60 in the back. I wish they made more than the extreme kit. That's all they are building for the time being.

Re: Locomotive Lugnut
Ironically the only part that is left to add is the box. I was going with a MAR-K box and was going to leave the stake pockets out for a cleaner look. I suppose I could leave the stake pockets and build some sides to use if I need to actually carry anything.

Re: Locomotive Lugnut
Man you are really making some good progress.
Have you mounted the DBW pedal yet? Did you have to modify the pedal lever length? Got any pictures? |
