When I measured my CC dually for the flip kit it would have left me w/about 1" between the axle tube & the bottom of the frame & a similar amount between the top of the differential (Dana 70HD) & the bed floor.

Based on mine, shackle & hangers would work w/a air over leaf helper & stock frame rails for sure. With a flip kit, notching the frame would have been mandatory. But if that was done, towing wouldn't have been an issue since nothing was changed other than the flip.

Re: How bout some pictures of '73-'87 regular cab dually
Looking for a clean low mileage 73-87 single cab dually 2wd. I'm located in California but if the truck is right I will buy anywhere in the US. Must be clean, real clean.
This thread is full of great looking trucks, and this is a cool site. Glad to be here. |

Nice setup clunker! thats going to be a very cool truck. I like the fact you are running a taller tire in the front and rear than are usually ran. keep the pictures and progress coming.

I really really like this one. Same colors of my short bed before I started the restoration on it.

Same truck as above repainted over a period of time. Not sure in what order. Said to be an old military converted dually.

Anybody have any advice or tips for me? My truck is posted here and it's 2wd. I'd like to lift it a little. Any advice is appreciated.

Really like the way the RC Dually's look. I'm hoping I can find a 2wd 454/auto one to add to my collection soon.

For all you 4X4 guys out there. I found this rig on eBay. 1987 K30 with a 350 and 4 spd manual. 21,496 original miles! It was an old fire truck. Link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Chevrolet-Ot...US_Cars_Trucks
