Re: How about some pics of Static dropped 60-66
Why would the ride be bouncy?? Its not like its some stupid slammed import that rubs on a bottle cap going down the road. The spring is still there, as well shocks.. My old set up was cut coils rode fine. Just less travel.

Re: How about some pics of Static dropped 60-66
when you cut a coil spring not heat it it will increase the load capacity and make it ride horrible......now i do have a c-20 so the springs are heavy duty! i am saving up for a 5 lug and air bags

Re: How about some pics of Static dropped 60-66
Here is a pic of the truck with cut coils before I started all the work. It rode great. Maybe the 3/4 tons dont I have no idea on that. but the 1/2 tom with 1.5 or 2 coil cut rode fine. Been too long to know how much I trimmed off.

Re: How about some pics of Static dropped 60-66
It has 84 Chevy upper and lower control arms with the stock cross member. 2 1/2" dropped spindles and 3" springs. The rear has a 84 Chevy rear end and I made a set of trailing arms with 3" springs and 2" blocks.
