Re: MisterE72's Build thread: Too much Homework

These are pretty exciting times for me folks. Project too much homework is now on all fours, again. After nearly 5 years on crutches, the old chevy is the ground and looking better than before. This is a proud moment for me, and I can truely say: I couldn't have done it without you. Whether it were your tips, jokes, critisism, praise, or words of encouragement: it amounted to this. Thank you friends. There is still a long road ahead-my homework is not done yet. I know however, that you folks will be there to help me with this assignment. God Bless you all. MisterE

Re: MisterE72's Build thread: Too much Homework

Congrats MrE! Your frame is something that I'm going to strive to have in the future. Good luck with the rest of the build!

By the way.... you might have posted this, and heck I might have even read it but..... what color are you going with for the body?

Re: MisterE72's Build thread: Too much Homework

Thanks for the compliments folks. The ralleys are temporary until I get the body work done and painted. I haven't decided on a color yet. I like those two tone Carter paint schemes, but I also like the look of solid colors. My boy wants it to be blue. He really likes SactoJims truck and so do I. We'll see which way I go with the color. I'll post more info as more progress is made. Thanks . MisterE

Your words are too kind Big Al. Its been a learning experience for me doing this frame-off restoration. It makes for interesting conversations when friends from work come over and see my project. Some can't even believe its possible to do that to a vehicle. I'm sure you'll do just fine with yours. Besides, we'll all be here to lend a hand anyway we can. Its cool that your from the city I was born in - Miami,Florida. I lived there until I was three and then my parents came to California and i've been here since. Congratulations on your baby as well. Its gonna be nice to have some help from your other kids. My boys are 5 and 3 1/2. I gotta lookout for my yougest, he a little . Check out what he did with the baby powder a couple days ago.Take care Big Al. MisterE

Re: MisterE72's Build thread: Too much Homework

I have no progress to report on the truck, but there has been progress in other areas. See for yourself: This is Julian ~ He was born on Saturday August 23. He weighed in at 9 pds. 10oz. and 21 in. long - yep another boy, that makes 3 boys. He's already a Chevy Truck guy. Wouldn't you agree?
