I just picked up this 84 stepside last week, the PO mounted the stock taillights into the fenders.im planning on moving them since this is a 4x4 and will be used off-road and don't want to bust a light out.

Sorry to bring up and old thread. Some awesome ideas in here!

I need to get some more brightness out of my tail lights, and I'm thinking of the below. Anyone got these? Would be awesome to see a picture of them running on someones truck?

Or would these ones from a 55-59 bolt up to the same mounting brackets? The look quite nice with the stainless trim.

Looks like the 55-59 bracket is the same. I didnt know that.

Let's bring this back up and see what else people have been doing? I would like to put some new/custom tails on my stepside fenders, but my gas cap is also on the rear of the fender...now sure what to do...inspire me!

I just mounted up some LED in Stainless bucket from Brothers on my Stepside and I am very pleased, and they are very bright. I think the are onsale still at Brotheres $49 US.

And don't forget you need a good ground!

I think they might be for motorcycles, They say Premier on the lens, but I couldn't find any info on them. They are pretty heavy(not plastic). Sitting in a box in my garage now.
