Re: John's Project
I really was. For some reason I was thinking when I looked at his picture of his two trucks, the other one was a 90s model chevy. Looked back and it's a 03 GMC lol. I was way off. I've been thinking about 90's model chevy's recently because I bought a heater core and priced some other parts for my grandpa's and saw a 92 Chevy Single cab similar to perf's red GMC for 2500 and thought about it. Lol, my mind just saw what it wanted to see in John's picture.

Re: John's Project
I used to have a 94 GMC Ext cab if that makes you feel better.
Haven't done anything to take more pics of. Had to work this weekend, so that limits my working time for the truck. Last edited by JohnC; 06-21-2009 at 12:30 PM. |

Re: John's Project
Yeah I was wishing and hoping we would have a mild summer! Oh well. At least we did have more of a nice spring this year instead of it going straight from winter to hot hot summer.

No doubt. I've been the Mag light holder for him many a weary night.

Re: John's Project
Guess that's what I'm going to have to start doing. I have plenty of light in the garage, just don't have the motivation that late!

Re: John's Project
Well you have to understand that the half of the garage where my truck is supposed to sit got taken over by other junk. Which I really need to get cleaned. Then the other half is Holly's parking spot. She has already informed me that I can't take her parking spot.

Re: John's Project
i have to chime in on this one... john, sounds like you need to lay down the law. "MY" garage is off limits to amy. (except to smoke) and if my poor goat has to sit outside so does her bimmer. you should clean out your garage while holly is at work pull your truck in and take off a few BIG parts to take up space and call it your "room". granted you might have to buy a bed to sleep out there but at least you can work on your truck!

Re: John's Project
Yeah easy for you to say so many miles away! It was really a condition I agreed upon when I started buying these projects that I wouldn't take her side of the garage. If I wanted to she would be ok with it. She wouldn't be happy, but would be ok with it. What can I say I have spoiled her.
I did pull my bed rail bars off last night, but didn't get a chance to post the pics. Not really much to look at. I need to buy me a grinder, and a corded drill so I can start messing with the frame and get it shot with some paint. That's the next part I'm tackling until the engine is ready. |

Re: John's Project
What ya do is take up the whole garage and tell her you need a shop. I'm getting closer to having a shop every day she parkes outside.
Don't you have drills and grinders at work? |

Re: John's Project
Yeah I don't have room at the house for a shop. Believe me I want one.
Yeah I have drills and grinders here, just haven't had a need for them until now. |

Re: John's Project
Announcement! My previously fruitless search to find John's house has now harvested and I've found the exact location! We can all raid his garage now and get whatever parts needed!
Lol, actually I was just doing my summer workout of jogging to the gym, working out, then jogging back and on the trip back I spotted his truck. His daughters were appalled at me standing at the front door asking if it was John's truck seeing as how I was dripping with sweat and in 3 hoodies and 2 pairs of sweat pants lol! Truck looks sharp man. |

Re: John's Project
And I'm proud of it! Yeah I would say this is one of those threads kind of like a good mechanics shop. Everyone one comes in hangs out, BS's, and very little work gets done. The bond though between friends though is worth so much more though!
