Re: Rattle can paint job

coming along nicely. Havent been back to mine, busy getting the tailgate brackets and bed floor fixed. Now have a tailgate which is half stripped and rusty, need to scuff it up and get some paint on it so it matches the rest of the truck. But in the meantime I'm tryingto get the right leaf spring bushings ordered so I can swap the front springs again.

Re: Rattle can paint job

I read that artical and for 160$ that paint job doesn't look too bad. Granted the average joe isn't gonna have a compressor/HPLV gun (aka me).

Re: Rattle can paint job

I looked at it this way
If i spend 2000+ on a "real" paint job it wouldn't see the bush for fear of scratches

1 gallon of tremclad red rust paint 35.00
2 rollers and a small pan bout 5.00
tape,thinner,blades,carb cleaner,rags might get to $60.or so

seeing a bear $#!^ in the woods priceless

lol they did a good job.......but kinda cause somebody got paid to do it

they cheated with heat,I only get the inside up to 160 with the windows up

they took over a week in a shop...................betcha i could do it in two weeks....dam rain

"we selected a victim from the dozen or so cars loitering behind the HOT ROD shop and prepared to put the theory to the test"............
havn't had any cars or trucks loitering in my townhouse backyard lol
so choosing the white one is good to hide body/paint issues
