Re: 1953 Burb build
Very nice. I like you choice of wheels. They will tie in nicely with your color scheme. That white looks so sanitary.

Re: 1953 Burb build
Got it from R&D fabrication. They are a vendor here. Very happy with it. Only issue I have is they used my good original rad as the mock up piece. They were to send it back and never did. Couple hundred bucks I could have sold it

Re: 1953 Burb build
I got mine from the bone yard from a 94 caprice along with the pedal assembly and the drive shaft.
Had to cut a little out of the drive shaft. All in $25 |

Re: 1953 Burb build
Iceburgh,
I just found this build and congrats on a great build so far. I have a 49 burb w Camaro clip, 454 BB/TH400. I have been thinking LS in future but didn't think it would fit as BB w headers was a chore to shoe in. Your build is great blueprint to what needs to be done so will keep watching progress. Do you have any pics of the roll pan you built. Did you use a shrinker to make the curve fit or cut a top piece and bend to it? I've wanted to build one but don't on shrink / stretcher . Also you mentioned shims to help relieve twitched power steering please explain. I have a junkyard PS pump that I need to reduce pressure on. Thanks for the help |

Re: 1953 Burb build
The roll pan has been an experiment for sure. I don't have a Shriner but I do have a English wheel. The center section was made with that. The end with multiple bends worked out better for me using parts of a cab corner, hammer,English wheel and now plastic to smooth.
As far as the clip...I have a mustangII on this. Camaro clip would have been easier as far as fit....a/c would have been easier. I have a camaro clip on my truck and it was cheaper and easier for parts |

Re: 1953 Burb build
I still have the original here at the shop, in our prototype room. There is a note that the prototype was sent out and waiting for final comments. I looked back through our conversations and see that everything was resolved, but that wasn't relayed to the prototype guys (my fault). PM me with your address and we'll get it boxed up and out next week.
