I wouldn't go with any other color than black on the wire looms. I usually try to hide the wires and not draw attention to them when I can't get them out of sight. The black loom helps make them disappear.
Agreed. They match alot of other stuff under the hood.

Re: 1967 C10 Custom Big Window

I made a super trac bar out of my adjustable today. Still got to get a sleeve for it so it will look cleaner. It may not look as nice as the $150 trac bars but it only cost me $6 to make. WOW....that's dusty. Bringing her home for the weekend to start cleaning it for the show on the 16th.

I bought an adjustable also instead of the super trac bar. Was just going to eat it. What exactly did you do? Pics!

5/8-18X3 ft. All thread rod, 3 jam nuts to fit, and a nice peice of 3/8 thick metal from a Toro 32 inch mower!! I used the bolt from the rear differential and drilled 3/4 inch holes for the u-bolt and the rear end bolt. Worked great. It is alot more sturdy than you would imagine. It took 20 minutes to drill each hole. I will be using a tie rod adjustment sleeve on it instead of the jam nuts. The sleeve will allow me to adjust it without removing either end of the trac bar since the sleeve is reverse threaded.

If you need a better pic, I'll be able to post it tomorrow. Hate to see money wasted on parts that we THOUGHT we needed just to turn around and lose money on selling or trading them.

It's the stock Turbo 400, that should handle the 327!

Cool, I hope it helps out a few of yall that got stuck with an adjustable. Oh yeah, the tie rod sleeve didn't work so I went to the hardware store and got a 5/8-18 connector sleeve, it's about 3 inches long and will work fine. The jam nuts will be used at each end of it and another jam nut at the end of the trac bar just for good measure.

Re: 1967 C10 Custom Big Window

I got the engine bay cleaned up and waxed for the most part yesterday, cleaned a little on the frame today so I can do some touch up paint on it. Started to wet sand the truck again to get it even smoother, but I only have 1500 grit here at the house so I will have to get some 2000 and work on it for a couple of days. It's starting to look better. I brought her home with me for a few days and will take her back to the shop sometime next week. Still not happy with the engine ventilation.

Thanks dude! The bike was my inspiration on the color for my truck, so they are almost a perfect match. That candy and pearl really pops in the sun, and has alot of people asking what I used when they see it in person. It is kinda different......but in a good way!

Thanks! You and the wife should come out to the Niftee 50ees again. I will more than likely be taking it to the last one which is the first weekend in November. Should be a great turnout with weather permitting.

Thanks, it was kinda random, I saw the colors and tried to capture it with the camera. Came out ok, but still didn't show the neon lime green.

Ordered some breathers for the valve covers today from So Cal Speed Shop. This will eliminate the engine pressure and look pretty good doing it. I'm gonna install them on the end of the vc's closest to the firewall. Thanks 67Cheby for pointing those out to me!

It should work if you have another way of venting the engine, pcv, carb intake from the filler.
