Re: 572 update
Hey, no I'm not getting new gauges, I'm using the stock ones,
Here are a few other pics, I got the new drivesgaft in today, and I modified one of the A/C lines, I actually recieved a bunch of parts, Fuel pressure regualtor, Fuel shut off switch, exhaust pipes, wheel bearings etc. So much stuff so little time. I spend more time working then taking pictures. |

Re: 572 update
Dang, I wish I had that problem of more stuff than I had time to install.
That driveshaft looks awesome! Question I forgot to ask though. What's up the 2 different length axles in the previous pics? |

Re: 572 update
thats what I thought too, I actually called Strange and they said they couldn't help me, but they referred me to Currie, Currie said they couldn't help me with a full floating axle setup, and to call Dutchmen, Dutchman aparently can make any axle you want. they quoted me $295 US for 2 new axles made of 1541U steel significantly stronger then stock.
So if anyone needs Axles give dutchman a call. http://www.dutchmanaxles.com/ Last edited by handsomerob; 04-29-2010 at 08:13 PM. |

I basically ordered all new everything from LMC, then I ordered a new primary line for my new 134a compressor that way I have the high and low side connections. Then I cut the original line off so I could use the 180 degree bend from the factory install, I cut the 80 degree bend off the new line and and attached the piece from the old line. I will be assmbling the A/C system in the next week or so, I'll post pics of it when I'm done that part. |

Re: 572 update
Umm thats a tubing coupler it's one of our GM products, I'm sure there are many companies that make them, it's basically a compression fitting that gets pressed into place. That black tool in the background is what compresses the fitting on.

Re: 572 update
No there is no drop on this truck, it's factory stance.
And as of yet I have not boxed or beefed up the frame, once the truck is driving we may need to strenghten it. |

Re: 572 update
Can you paint a condenser? I thought it screwed up the cooling process for the freeon?

Re: 572 update
Yeah but I thought the temp of a condenser played havoc with the freeon? I don't really know much about it though. I just hear stuff and never know what is actually right.

Re: 572 update
Nope, I had to cut a section out of the passenger side, and move it to the driver side, then I had to slice into the top section and spread it upwards, then cut a section out of the bottom and close it up. I then moved the section I removed from the bottom to fill the gap in the top. then I just filled all the holes and smoothed the whole thing out.
