Inner bedsides need to be finished, haven't looked at em for about two years so I hope they'll go quick.
From memory, they just need final prep and spray.

Once those are done, it's time to bring in the truck and paint the cab exterior which has also been sitting in primer for two years.
When the truck is in the shop for cab paint, we'll assemble the bed then, after it's dry.

Still have wheel housings to sand blast and the hood to sand down tough...
Steering column is still untouched and all the interior soft parts have to get ordered.

But that's all.

So not much left. That'll keep you busy through the winter.

It sure is comming along nicely. Are you just shooting in the shop or do you set up a booth or what? What do you do about dust control?

No booth.

We do have a curtain to enclose one bay though.
I vacuum alot trying to keep up with the dust.

It's an interesting scenario lets say...
The shop has been in business for over 30 years in this location and the guy I work with (the owner) is semi retired now.
It all came about through the love of our trucks, he still drives the same 70 chevy he bought new back in the day.
He's my mentor of sorts, watching him work metal the old school way is amazing.

The long/short of it is that dust control is one of my biggest issues and always ongoing.

Re: It's Begun...

Looks good Kurt!....

Ever since you left my place on Saturday, I've been sick as a dog. It's killing me to know that I've got all that new sheetmetal in my shop and that I can't stay out of bed long enough to do anything.

Only minor:
Hauled the Finished bedfloor out of the shop and placed it on the frame for safe keeping.
First time they've been together in almost three years.

Offering up two possible ways.

Thanks to all for the kind works and great encouragement.

It's important to me that their happy, it's the only gratitude I'll see outta this one.

Ended up selling for less than the asking price but it's a project and projects are a tough sell no matter how much has been done to them.

It's been an enjoyable build.
