Re: Project TiC TaC cause it gonna be orange.....
Well after cutting my arm on a sharp part of the frame busting my knuckle on the drop member and a short trip to the shop down the road from my house I finally got all the Ball joints in and the drop spindles on! And the steering rack too .
I am using the mcgaughys 13 inch front and rear brake kits. Of course they came with no instructions and non-Marked brackets so I call their tech department and of course there's not much help there . no one seems to have the answer or instructions that are online or that they can email you. I will definitely be going to different route for breaks next time that is for sure! Posted via Mobile Device

That would be great I'm on the QC/Gilbert border now I'll pm my number to you ! I'm no mechanic either but I have done probably 15 Frame off with my father who is the mechanical genius. He helped me learn a lot when I was younger but there's a lot of stuff that I have never done personally. Like last night when I was trying to figure out the spindles and bearings and crush sleeves and all of that was a first time for me. It ended up being super simple but just one of those things that I never had to do before so it's been a real learning curve for me as well and it will probably be even more of a learning curve once I start wiring all of the fuel lines and electrical as I am not very good at that stuff. I start a welding and metal engineering class in January and after that auto body classes . I'm trying to be able to build all the way through without having to rely on ships to do work for me .

Re: Project TiC TaC cause it gonna be orange.....
Found out some awesome news today!
Apparently the city I work for teamed up with Arizona State University and they are building a fabrication and technical shop right across from the city headquarters. Apparently it's a nationwide chain called tech shop. They will have everything from welding to woodworking classes. Rentable space, CNC presses, and a vast amount of fabrication equipment to including waterjet cutter. From looking on their website appears they have some pretty cool metalworking classes and some really good machinery to work with and it seems extremely reasonable on price. Best part is since it's ASU affiliated all the engineering kids will be there to do AutoCAD designs for me!!!!!!!!

Re: Project TiC TaC cause it gonna be orange.....
If you are doing stainless. I recommend you get a mastercool flaring tool. Stainless is so hard to bend at 37 degrees with a hand tool. Your hands and fingers will be bleeding when you are done if you use a rotating hand tool. Check out the mastercool its the bomb.

Re: Project TiC TaC cause it gonna be orange.....
No I have the large press tool from Eastwood no finger tools here! Well for cars anyways lol
I won't be using stainless so I'll be doing the double flare. I thought about stainless but decided against it but could be swayed .

Not much but I did toss in the motor mounts . Gotta get the rear end to the blaster and then painted so I can finish up the bolt ons to the chassis !
Wheels, tires and drive train coming soon.
