Someone else mentioned welders so ill add to it when i was at school a friend of mine was mig welding and im not quite sure what happened but i saw most of it, the wire managed to wrap around his neck while it was still red hot which i am not sure how he got it that way but it left a good burn ring around his neck

Alcohol, I used to fart around with my truck while drinking beer, dont do it anymore at ALL. One time I just plain slipped/tripped and grabbed onto a piece of sheet metal that sliced my hand open.

Re: Most dangerous tool in your shop and why!!!!!!
I have a few choice things in the garage that have it out for me...
Die grinders I love but they slice'n'dice. Bench grinders grab my stuff then toss it like a little kid. Bench tops whack me while passing them...sharp buggers. Glass objects (like jars of paint) commit suicide. Cords lasso my feet, drill motors hop off tables Doors close prematurely where my fingers always are... Worst of all is the computer and chair team that shuts down any productive project I'm racing to complete (kinda like right now) . Last edited by ETsC10; 10-07-2012 at 07:33 AM. |

If a tool says Harbor Freight on it, I treat it like it was 1000 degrees.
That stuff scares the poop outta me. Last edited by ETsC10; 10-26-2012 at 10:41 PM. |

Re: Most dangerous tool in your shop and why!!!!!!
Got be my handheld grinder. It got away last time and kicked back hitting me in the forehead, leaving a nice grinding mark.
Before that I was using a wirewheel on it and it got away and the wirewheel rolled up my chest and down my back. These two accidents happened about 5 years apart. I still try to be really carefull when using it.
