i havent bought my gauge set yet. What do you mean about the dash not being "right" for mechanical gauges?? what brand of harness did you use. any tips??

Looks like a great build. Do you need any more parts for it? This just arrived in the yard by me, and I can grab some parts if you'd like. It's rusty, but there is good stuff still

yes i could use a few parts the headlight switch knob with rod,head light switch retaining nut, and the ignisn switch with the mounting bracket. need the outer window trim for both doors too. if you can grab that too jimmyfloyd pm me when you get them if you can.thanks i ditched the s10 wiring for the same reasons as dan.

Alright. I'll be stopping there later to see if I can get them, and what it'll cost. it's at a local yard, but should be able to get them for a decent price.

well here are some pics of what i got done today moved the frame to my friends place. got the rear cleaned up a bit. painted some stuff too. gave my jimmy a face lift yesterday while the wife was changing the oil on her truck.

still need a 2 15 inch steel wheels for my truck. i wana get rid of the racing rocket wheels on the back. anyone got 2 that are close by i'll trade you the mags for them. they must be like the front wheels on my truck because i plan on running trim rings and dog dish hub caps.

Those look like just stock stamped steel wheels. I've got 3 15" and 1 14". Talk about suck! I'm lucky that truck in NY is in NY or it'd be in my yard...I need to clean up and cut down.

cab is going to the blaster tomorrow morning 8am. i'll take pics of before and after. finally making some headway. i can start to see light at the end of the tunnel.

well cab back from blaster the same day. boy do i have a lot more work than i was expecting but i'm glad i found it now not down the road.

well got some patching done around the passanger side door not pretty but no more holes.

got the cab in primer the other day to keep it from flash rusting. filled the holes on the firewall too. just put bolts in them or plugs. not getting crazy trying to smooth the firewall.

yesterday i got the footwells patched and sprayed the firewall and footwells inside and out with some truckbed coating.

been busy got the holes the previous owner hacked for a radio and headlight switch filled and fixed. the wife did the bondo work on the patched areas.took my extra speaker grill that i hacked and welded a plate in for the radio to go in. looks pretty good i didn't want to try to fit it where the orignal on went. i had a spot picked out for it on my lower dash filler panels but like it a little higher than it was in the panel that i made.

scored two wheels for $20.00. got my radio delete plate painted. waiting on my uncle to bend up some metal for my window frame and the door bottoms.

not much done on the truck been helping my father clean out my grandfathers house and shop. gotta get his house on the market to get is sold. since my grandfather passed away two months ago. found something really neat in my grandfathers shop. my grandfather was a clock maker by trade. my dad told me to put this in my truck. it is a rear view mirror with a clock. this thing works great and keeps perfict time. my father and i think it was from the 30's or 40's. it was for sale a my grandfather shop. he had a price tag of $200.00 on it so it must be pretty rare.

well got some work done on the truck in the passed two days. fixed the windshield chanel. what a pain in the a%%. it's not pretty but i really don't care. got rid of the side vent to make room for my antenna. got it from an early 90's jeep wrangler. also got the windshield pissers too. well the cab is in final prime so is the front bumper. gotta get the door bottoms done then i can start painting.

Truck is coming together great. I was wondering if you might be able to take pic's of your motor mounts from differant angles. I am also putting a V8 (LS1) and need to know how far back I should go.

nomas54 best i can tell you is put the cab on the frame and set you motor in place use a engine hoist with some blocks of wood to get it where you like it. my motor is set a little forward because i am going to run an eletric fan and wanted a little more room between the back of the motor and firewall. no two v8 swaps in an s10 ad are the same.it also helps if you have the trans on the motor too.

well got the interior of the truck painted today. had a little helper my 3 year old daughter. put some of the interior trim in to see how it looked. thinking about putting three marker lights on the roof like it orignally had. these are ford one's but they are like new. they came with the wiring and bulds. oh and the were also free.
