Re: 1967 C10 Custom Big Window
Ok. Here are the pics from the past few days. I got the rest of the cab done and sanded the inside. My bed was not too bad so all it needed was a little bondo and alot of sanding, also welded some holes shut that were in the top sides of the bed. Used a BFH to straighten a couple of small dings.

the beers are for after the pinstriping... but maybe that would be the next fad....
Body work is looking good.... I better speed up.....hahahaha. I'm cheating and having a friend do the final. I probably should have gone the route you did so i could learn a little more and keep a lil more coin in my wallet...

Re: 1967 C10 Custom Big Window
Looking at Tangelo Orange Candy, may not be that color in the end but that is what I would like. I gave the motor (283) to him on March 2nd and since then he has given me the 327 and a bunch of excuses as to why my engine has not been touched. The 327 was hot tanked one time and that's it. But on the flipside I really don't need it right now because the body and paint is eating my wallet. The 327 will be done in a couple of months I hope. I see you are going to do a build thread on the burb!

Re: 1967 C10 Custom Big Window
Alright, I have been slackin a little. Maybe I will change the name to Slacker 67. Work is taking all my time now, but the checks are gonna look better! Well here is the update. I have the final coat of primer on all parts and have started sanding everything with 400 grit. This is where all projects seem to be slow going, but I should have some paint on the truck in 2 to 3 weeks, I can't wait! I got a new Goodmark tailgate Saturday, looks great! It is as heavy as the original and is a good repro of the real thing. I drilled the holes in it for the trim and have it ready for primer. The door hinges have paint on them and I should be hanging the doors on the cab for the last time this week.

Re: 1967 C10 Custom Big Window
Thanks Heath. I will add to the many posts about tailgate fitment issues when I get to that point. Goodmark tailgates seem to be the brand that get the best reviews, and I will give input on mine. I can already say that the trim fits perfectly.

Re: 1967 C10 Custom Big Window
UPDATE! Worked on the truck for a few hours today and got a little accomplished. 2nd coat of primer on the hood, epoxy primed the doors then primered them, misted the hood and doors, and hung one door on the cab. Not bad for 7 hours work.

Re: 1967 C10 Custom Big Window
I think you are still ahead, oh yeah forgot to tell ya that the smooth firewall is makin me jealous. Just called my bodyman to see if he could work a couple of days this week while I am at work. Hope that gets me closer to my painting goal. BTW, I drew a pic of what I think it will look like when finished. I'll scan it and put it up here today. A little "Chip Foose" was happening at my drafting table this weekend.
