lol true

im not just not a fan of the lifted 67-72's...guess thats why i voted for the bagged one lol

well good luck david, there is some stiff competition on this one!

Thanks Kev. I have the engine breathin properly now so I am able to drive it around a little. Should be doing my interior in the next few weeks and then the faux wood bed soon thereafter. For now I am just trying to do little things that do not cost an arm and a leg.

Re: 1967 C10 Custom Big Window

someone should start a thread on the 67-72 main forum (not general) asking people to vote for the truck...otherwise the 66 is going to win since all the 60-66 guys will vote for who's ahead from their generation and the 67-72 vote is split 12 ways....

I agree! It should be a year classification of 67 to 72, isn't that the name of this forum?!?!?!?

I have to say this is a tough competition! Some of the trucks on the TOTM this month are really awesome.

did you guys line up the doors and gaps before you starting doing body work...or did you do the body work and paint, then line up your gaps?

just wondering because im ready to pull my doors off and start getting them straight along with the clip but i really dont want pull off, put on, pull off, put on...blah blah!

We lined up the gaps on the cab first then installed the fenders and cowl. The cowl can be adjusted a little and spaced if needed, and that helps get the hood pretty close to right. The doors should go on one time and may need a small adjustment here and there, it's just getting them close to correct to begin with that is a pain.

Re: 1967 C10 Custom Big Window

Well, TOTM went to oem4me and his UNRESTORED 66 LWB that even has the original tires. Very deserving! I came in at a respectable 4th place out of 15 entries......not too bad. Thanks to all who participated and voted!!!!!

Here is the winner.

I voted for you... And honestly I'm really not into the airbags for myself. But you've pulled off a sweet look and I bet the ride sure is niiice.

But that is still a pretty sweet truck. I'd be torn if I had an all original anything in that good of shape!

Re: 1967 C10 Custom Big Window

Definitely a nice truck...and deserving of acknowledgement...but yours is too

Still goes to show the 67-72 division effect is still going strong (mentioned it before voting even started in the nomination thread for this month's entries...) And shows VERY few of the active members vote in TOTM....

Thanks! I have to say the truck rides really good. As for the airbags, this is my first vehicle with them and I am still sceptical. That all original is really nice, but since mine was a basket case I figured it would make a nice custom!

Thanks Jonathan! The division is a deal breaker, and could be handled a bit differently but it is what it is. We need to bring attention to the active members about TOTM and I tried to on this months contest.

Re: 1967 C10 Custom Big Window

Gonna do a little picture postin this weekend. I installed new window roller handles and inside door handles along with the sill plates and hopefully a couple of other things by this weekend. Going to the courthouse this Friday to get all of the necessary paperwork for it plus insurance so I can take it for a spin this weekend too.

I'm going to talk with the guy who did Chris' seat to see what kind of deal I can get. If he is a little cheaper than the $800 to $1100 I have been quoted then I'll let him do it. May even leave them with him this weekend. I am buying extra material so I can do the rest of the interior myself, got a little experience in that area. Once the seats are done the rest of the interior shouldn't take but a couple of days. Still gotta get my Blazer console.

I am waiting for some swatches to come in from a fabric wholesaler, should be in this week. I want to make the right choice on color and texture. Maybe this weekend!
