Re: 1967 C10 Custom Big Window
Yep, it's an actual plate that can be purchased and is completely legal in the State of Texas! I have been wanting this one for about a year and I am almost to the point that I need it. So in a couple of weeks my order goes in.

Re: 1967 C10 Custom Big Window
I would like to know what this is worth. It has a crack at the back as you can see. Otherwise everything is there and intact, it is in good shape. All of the nuts and bolts are factory and have never been removed. The trim and emblem are in good shape, just dirty.

Re: 1967 C10 Custom Big Window
With the bolts and a good trim ring/emblem and only the one crack. Assuming the latch is good and is the limiting strap still there inside? If it's all there probably 125-150. Fix the one crack, strip and paint/polish and it's a $300 console...

Re: 1967 C10 Custom Big Window
Yep, strap is inside and the roller latch. The chrome hinge inside is in great shape. The crack is clean, no material missing so it will be a easy fix. Got it for $70 so guess I did do pretty good. Thanks Jonathan! I'll be following your console cleanup how-to and make it all nice.

Re: 1967 C10 Custom Big Window
Got some ultra leather samples in today! I think that the one on the left is what will be used for my seats and other interior parts, it is Sand. The other colors were too light. Also stuck my window cranks and my door handles on to get an idea of how much room I'll have between them and the door panel after they get covered.

Re: 1967 C10 Custom Big Window
Yep......the suspense is killin me. Taking a seat to ae shop for them to look at it then they should be able to quote me. I found the ultra leather for $54 a yd but this guy said he would beat that with $40 a yard, that's if I let him do the job I'm sure.

Re: 1967 C10 Custom Big Window
I have drawn out a couple of designs for the seats and will be taking them with me today to the upholstery shop to give them an idea of what I am looking for. The seats are pretty flat so a little bolster on the bottom and back sides will help get the look I want. This is a good shot that shows how flat they really are.

Re: 1967 C10 Custom Big Window
Here's the scoop. I talked to the upholstery guy and struck a deal with him. We are ordering the material next week and then doing the seats the following week, or possibly the week after. Looks like it's gonna be a great Christmas!!!!!!
