Re: 1967 C10 Custom Big Window
Me too. Should look good with the light interior.
He said the would be ready today, but I can't pick them up till Saturday since he is way North of me. He closes at 5:30 but that's when I get off work and it's a 70 mile drive for me from work. I want to go with the lightest color wood that I can, preferrably oak but I am going to a lumber yard where an old freind works to get his opinion, what's your opinion???

Re: 1967 C10 Custom Big Window
I'll see if I can get some samples and take some pics after I polyurethane them. It may help you make up your mind too. Mine will be light to match the interior.

Re: 1967 C10 Custom Big Window
looks good...
are you going to stain the wood at all or keep it natural? and what are you using for the strips to keep them together?

Thanks Kev. I am going to leave it as light as possible, so probably no stain, and use polyeurathane to seal it. I am getting the MAR-K polished stainless strips with the hidden fasteners to keep the clean look.

Saw a bed with Bamboo. That was very nice. Started considering that myself. Think the company was CaliBamboo or something like that...looking forward to seeing this one finished

I'll check that out, sounds cool. Welcome to the thread! I can't wait to get her finished too, just a few more things and then I can say it's done. But we all know that's never true!

Re: 1967 C10 Custom Big Window
I only have one week to get my truck together for the Lonestar Showdown, cuttin it close!!! I may get the seats tonight, or tomorrow morning and get those installed. I started working on the drip rail that was scratched last night and got 3 thick coats of paint on each place that was chipped, it may turn out ok for now. I'll have it fixed correctly in the next few weeks. Started buffing the paint again and will start wet sanding this weekend, the paint looks better when it's buffed and waxed!!

Re: 1967 C10 Custom Big Window
Didn't get the seats tonight, but I did go to the upholstery shop and dropped of the dash pad. He had my seat tops and bottoms covered but the material was just pulled over the seat and they weren't bolted together. He has a little more to do but said he would have everything ready tomorrow at around 2. I laid out the design on paper and he did pretty good and got really close to what I had drawn for him. Hellz Yeah!!!!!!

Hahaha....yeah, couldn't have a custom truck without a truly custom interior! Me too. He is wrapping my dash in the same ultra leather as the seats. My console is still being worked on.....I hope. My brother-in-law is doing the console but he owns his own buisiness (Freedom Vinyl and Leather Repair)doing this kind of thing so it'll come out nice for sure.
