I want to see that holley setup installed in an AD, I like it lots.

A sip of the antifreeze would keep me from freezing up for sure! Once we have a start, we will dry fit the front and have the accy drive installed to check space to rad.

A few posts ago we were looking at accessory drive dimensions with concern to radiator clearance. Moving the engine back solved that more than likely. Image on the left is before and image on right is after moving it back, noticeable comparing balancer to crossmember.

And I likely gave myself another clearance issue with the intake. Adding the throttle body and intake tube shows contact with radiator, fan, shroud likely. Will know more when more pieces are put in place...again. Have three ideas to resolve that potential issue.

Thanks, he does nice work. Yes I gained about an inch or so moving the engine back so water pump tip to radiator fan clearance should be good. Going to put front end together, probably at our Wire and Fire, to check spacing.

It would be cool if you could make it up! Streaming would be interesting....hmm..I am intellectually challenged in knowing how and for sure band width limited out here.

Good eye Mark! To make sure we have good fitment for our Wire and Fire, I purchased a set in 14”, 16”, and 18”. That gives us some flexibility to determine what works best. One of my pet peeves is not having the needed parts when building. Living here in the sticks that issue always delays me a week, so I tend to order enough to make sure it doesn’t happen.

T shirts are done and I will pick them up next week. Be cool if you and Jim could make it Mark.

Thank you Greg! No Boy Scout, just grew up on a farm in the sticks where we had to be somewhat self sufficient. Guess those boyhood lessons stuck with me.

If you are able to make it up, please bring your Eastwood one along. It would be interesting to compare it to the Mastercool hydraulic flaring tool I have. We are in good shape with benders too. We all dislike crappy benders and we loaded up with each size of a high quality bender from Gulley performance.

For fuel lines we have the design pencilled out, Nathan bought a big quantity of fittings from Jegs, we have the flexible line, and will have straight tube to give us options too. My Christmas present to myself a couple years ago was the Cool Tools fitting press so we have that. And we will also have the homemade one Nathan put together for comparison purposes.

This is going to be fun.

Yes! So glad you are coming Scott. T-shirts for sale with 100% going to hospice. Lunch, non alcoholic drinks and snacks provided. A raffle for hospice fundraising with some good prizes ,...and there will be some prizes that will be difficult to carry on a flight.

Guys, out of great respect for those that are investing their money, time and effort to be here and to honor my wife, please know my family, friends and I are doing all we can to make sure we have a fun, safe, productive and really enjoyable event. Some of the hospice folks will be here too.

hahaha holy shoot. I have no idea why this struck me as funny, probably because I have MADE three trips for the same parts in the past I have been thinking about it the wrong way! why fight? make one trip and buy three times as much, no matter how you slice it, its more efficient!

I have worked on Curacao for several years, there did we have the same problems with parts, everything had to flown in or make it yourself if possible.
But you tackled these problems

Sorry Kees. We are internet deficient here. Shop has no internet and a cell phone has zero signal inside the building. Sometimes you can get a 3G signal in the shop driveway if you stand in the right spot...so I don’t think that will help.

Roughing in the LS wires and mounting components under the seat. Using the stripped down original harness and modifying to fit rather than buying a new one due to the placement of the PCM, TAC module and harness fuse box here.

well we will still have wiring to do for start, then sequence in brake lines, air ride stuff, accessory drive and front end assembly to check for radiator clearance...especially with my choice for intake manifold that looks like will put the air tube right through the grill. Plus a good amount of old fashioned bench racing with good folks.

And I might have to rethink the line connection to the caliper. It looks like this will put too much stress on the aluminum.
