Here's a picture of the one on my truck that I purchased in CA. It may be a used car lot, not sure. Anyone have an idea?

Wish I still had some of the Yenko Chevrolet ones. Thing s we don't think about sometimes when clearing out stuff as you move around the world.

I spied this one on a original 67 short bed at the local lumber store here in Portland Oregon.

Re: Dealer Emblems and Stickers

If memory serves the Wehrs family started out in 1935 selling Allis-Chalmers farm equipment as well as Chevrolet vehicles. I don't recall when they quit A-C, but I bought this truck from them in 2011 and within 5 years or so they had given up the Chevrolet franchise.

I know some folks don't like giving a dealer free advertising. It never bothered me. As I've gotten older and a lot of things I thought were permanent have disappeared, preserving that little bit of history you get with a dealer sticker has some value. It also serves as an indicator of how many owners a vehicle may have had.

Re: Dealer Emblems and Stickers

These cheezy chrome dealer emblems are nicer than any trim put on the most expensive cars today

I feel kind of the same. I always removed the emblems, never liked them. It's not about free advertising, just didn't want it stuck on my truck. But I had an '85 Jimmy that came from a local GMC/White Tractor dealership and I cherished that decal on the tailgate. The dealership is gone now, but they started out selling horse-drawn farm equipment before GMC made a truck or Oliver made a tractor. Knott & Geisbert, and it was still in both families. In my owners manual cover booklet there was a Knott & Geisbert business card with a Knott being Service manager and a Geisbert being the sales manager

Spieler is a dealership in California MO. in central MO. Looks like they are still in business, but I have not been through California (missouri) lately. About 30 minutes from Jefferson City. For some reason I believe they sold GMC trucks for a time, but not positive of that.

Just got a real nice early take-off tailgate that has a Lou Grubb Chevrolet (Phoenix AZ) sticker on it.

Reminded me I have an "NOS" decal from Bickerstaff Chevrolet that had a similar look to your emblem. This decal was from the late 70s I think.

That's strange, I bought this truck in CA in 2016, truck was built there, this was with the truck when purchased. It's funny that sticker may be from MO, as I used to live there 60 years ago in Pacific which at that time was on Route 66. I have a daughter lives in Eagle Rock and a grandson in Jefferson City.
