Re: Xmas In March, Thanks To Porterbuilt.
MeanGrean, how did you/do you plan to wire the two compressors together? I am using a viair relay/pressure switch but I'm not sure how I'm going to use it to hook up two compressors. Any suggestions?
Thanks |

Re: Xmas In March, Thanks To Porterbuilt.
I want one of the Porterbuilts crossmembers so bad. From what I understand it narrows the front and moves it forward? I was wondering what kind of offset you guys are running that have the Porterbuilt X member. I have a narrowed 9" out back and want to run wheels with a large outside lip. I already have Strong Arms and am running RE7's with CPP drop spindles. I was hoping that someone could give me the exact specs or any helpful info on the Porterbuilt X member. Thanks

Re: Xmas In March, Thanks To Porterbuilt.
BigShoe24-
I run a 8.5" wheel with a 5.5" backspacing. The Dropmember will narrow the track-width one inch per side, and yes, it does move the axle center-line forward to center the wheels in the wheel-wells when deflated. If you have some more specific questions post em up on the Dropmember thread and I will be happy to answer them all.

Re: Xmas In March, Thanks To Porterbuilt.
A sneak preview of the truck with the new front end, haven't have a good day that I can push it out of the garage. To much rain
I'm also working with he original fender wells, trying to make then work so i don't have to use a trailer fender. Not that there anything wrong with. |

Re: Xmas In March, Thanks To Porterbuilt.
The hood is resting on the fenders inner lips where it suppose to go, the only thing I did was cut the fenders to clean the tires. I'm running 20 inch wheels.

MEANGREEN70,
Your truck looks GREAT! I was wondering what you think of running 22's (probably will be 9.5" or 10" wide) with the porterbuilt. Is this a bad idea? I dont really care to lay frame, just want to get really low. Plan on purchasing a crossmember in the very new future. Just need to save a few more $$$. Thanks for any suggestions. Shoe, |

Re: Xmas In March, Thanks To Porterbuilt.
dan468, I'm going to use the hinges that sachse rod shop makes, their down the street from me, so I seen the hinges in person and they are cool looking. They mount on the firewall. I'll try to get some pics of then, or you can go to thier wed site. |

they tuck just perfect under the fenders for me. But like I said this in just my personal opinion, I have seen some nice trucks with big wheels. I dont thing you'll have any problems running then, I do know that it takes more trinning of the inside fenders. I hope this helps you some. |

Re: Xmas In March, Thanks To Porterbuilt.
PORTERBUILT,
I was wondering how much more drop the crossmember provides? I believe I have saved up enough money to purchase the crossmember, rack & pinion, according to the prices in your website. Last, I was curious to know if you keep them in stock or build upon ordering. Thanks for the help, and any other information would be great. |
