Re: 572 update
Is that cross pipe after the headers sold aftermarket or did you fab it?

Re: 572 update
I like magnaflow.... you dont get that metal clanging sound with the straight through design. Should have a deep tone to it....

Re: 572 update
Magnaflows are pretty mellow (maybe not on that engine ) and get VERY loud under heavy throttle. No resonation with my magnapaks and no crossover.

Did you ever figure anything out on the upper radiator hose? If not I may have found a solution.

Re: 572 update
They sound pretty good at lower rpm but I'm not too crazy about the sound under heavy acceleration/high rpm. However, the performance increase is usually worth it. They flow significantly better than flowmasters. Your basic turbo muffler is like 50-60 cfm on 2.5" pipes, the flowmaster 40's are about 105 and the magnaflows are like 160

Re: 572 update
well I hooked up the power steering lines, then I hooked up the brake lines to the master etc., I installed a summit swivel thermostat housing and flexible rad hose for now, and also slapped in a K&N 3 inch filter.
here are some pics |

Re: 572 update
Can you shoot me a close up of how that small copper tube from the expansion valve connected to the evap on your old one?

Re: 572 update
it had a thermal ensor on the end of it that was just clampped to the main tube commin from the evap core, 2 clamps thats it, this one has a copper winding @ the end instead of the thermal slug. I can probably get a better closeup tomorrow

Re: 572 update
That would be aweseome I'd like to change my expansion valve and not sure how difficult it would be to mess with that line.

Re: 572 update
Well got the truck ready today to be sent out to the body shop, Don't get excited, it's just having the frame straightened, we noticed the frame rails where a little tweaked on the back.
I just took a few pics, I'll be out of town for a few days so no work will be done this week. |
