Doug, thanks! Henry, it's was awesome. I thought the 305 was going to be a dawg and it's not at all. It drives great. Something that's always been important is the visuals you see as your driving. Love the windshield, dash, steering wheel and hood. It just doesn't get any cooler than this truck. I think I may lower it two more inches with coils and new leaves. Still have a few bugs to work out tho.

always something to iron out. Don't let the 305 stigma drag you down. MOST guys would NEVER be able to tell the difference. Just tell people its a 350 though ahahhaahhah

looks great, especially considering how nice the body has to be to go naked. am I still talking about trucks? :\
I am looking for a 305tbi or tpi for my 46, these s10 swap trucks are so light even the 4.3 is more than enough power. the weight of an s10 is in the body for insulation and crash protection, and the weight of an old truck is in the cast iron engine and heavy truck frame, so when you combine them they dont weigh much at all.

Thanks for the small block confidence boost! I'm always like yeah it's just a 305. The guys at work refer to it as a six cylinder ( to put me down)Makes me want to find a late 70's Canadian model 305 4 bolt main and build it!

Got the inner fenders built last weekend. Cleared the bed. I got this old wood from a buddies house that was built in the 50's. i stained them and put a satin clear on.
