If it turns out you need a cup, I have two I've saved and yes skid plates were a factory option.

Re: another 4x4

I think you're right Tim..Although in the Rockwell years I've seen small ones under the carrier bearings on the longbeds, like mine.
I liked the red one,but this one should look as good.Is it an original shortbed?

Re: another 4x4

I put gear oil in a 205.That`s what they were meant to have when designed.About the only problem you see with those t-cases is leaks. Why encourage it with thinner oil?

Will you hurry up and get that all done, painted, and sold?I can`t wait to see the next one....yawn.........

Re: another 4x4

Yeah,my thinking, too.I hated to sell the blue truck cuz that was my truck to use.I used the GMC,but carefully.I`ll go as long as I can before restoring.
The skid plate would bolt right up to any K-model like it belonged.I don`t know why it would be Blazer-only other than if it was a package with the fuel tank skid-plate.But,Suburbans had a tank skid-plate option, too.

Re: another 4x4

uhh yea grendel, that is right pricy huh lol. have any of yall seen aftermarket fenders rust along the top where they start to roll down, recently a couple trucks i looked at for sale was like that, wondering if it was from the salt , guess it would help to undercoat the inside ? i ask a vendor from down south and he had never heard of that problem.well all fluids changed , power stering hose was busted, changed that out, next will be brakes, took the silly back glass shades off, someone screwd the right into the aluminum sliding window frame, and took off the 10 ft c.b antenna,

guess the reason for cutting these fenders was there running 35x12.50 with a 4 inch lift.
