Re: manual steering box

no, you will actually use one less. The power steering box uses four bolts and the manual uses three.

Re: manual steering box

I have this crazy thing with eliminating creature comforts in the name of simplicity. Two less hydraulic lines and a power steering pump in the engine bay...we will see if I will be kicking myself...

Re: manual steering box

thats my deal
no more hoses or pump to replace no fluid leaking out all over the place (they all do) lighter and less power drawn off the engine

Re: manual steering box

The trick to manual steering is to get some weight off the front end.
I did a 2-4 drop on my 69 which eliminated the rake and put more weight on the rear end.
She steeered like a dream afterwards.
Now my 62 with a big block v-6 and manual steering is a different story....
