frame swap
I own a 67 2wd short bed pickup and am looking into buying a 71 blazer 4wd. I was planning on just restoring the blazer but then started thinking, could i swap the the truck to 4wd and the blazer to 2wd? im sure i know the answer just wanted to pick some brains. thanks

One Small Issue is: The frame length and coil spring Suspension versus Leaf Spring's Short bed frame= 115" Blazer Frame = 105'

Re: frame swap
Instead of swapping the frames could you change out the front crossmember and rear suspension? That way the vin (partial I think) stamped into the frame would remain with the correct vehicle.

Re: frame swap
Anything can be done if you know how to fabricate
Welding spring perch's and shock mounts etc. It is not a direct swap from a blazer to a truck I once had a chance to take measurement's on a 4x4 short frame and a 2 wheel short frame Both were bare frames and side by side The 4x4 front is similar to the 2 wheel front However The back of the 4x4 is totally different from the 2 wheeler
